Thank you for taking the time to visit my site!

I'm Sherrie, I'm married, we have one son, and crafting is my passion.

I've dabbled in many crafts over the years, starting with basic drawing, coloring and painting as a kid. I took oil painting classes in high school, but besides that, I am self-taught. That's where the name of my shop comes from, I love creating and I teach myself 'by the book'.

I worked at a couple of craft stores in my twenties and would often discover new things I wanted to try as I stocked the shelves. I discovered jewelry making when I worked at Michaels around 2012 and I've been pursuing that in various ways ever since, from beaded to wood painting to polymer clay.
